Who is Everest Biopharma International Inc.?

Everest BioPharma International Inc. (with Everest Craft Family division) is a closely held private Canadian cannabis processing and co-packing service company with medical formulation capacity, including exports.

We are a based in Kelowna BC,  with a highly skilled and experienced business, legal, and technical team. Our goal is to create co-service packing and export services for cultivation licence holders without processing licences.

Eligible Business Corporation (EBC)

Everest Biopharma is a registered EBC under the BC Venture Capital Act allowing for a 30% refundable tax credit for BC investors.

Nigel Boast

B.Sc., LLB, MBA

President | CEO | Co-founder

Mr. Boast is a Director and co-founder of Everest. Nigel is a Canadian Citizen and a resident of Kelowna for the last 23 years. Nigel has the following academic qualifications: BSc., (zoology and biochemistry), LLB, and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Business and a certified US Project Management Professional (Ret). He is a British Commonwealth Attorney and Trademark Attorney.

He was a partner in a Law Firm and worked for Deloitte’s Australian and Midlands Bank in Australia. He also has qualifications and certifications in the Canadian Food Safety and Enhancement Program (pre-requisite programs) BCIT, and Hazard Critical Control Points Planning HACCP (NSF). Nigel is also certified as a CBD consultant and CBD extraction specialised with the US CBD Industry Association. These various qualifications, along with his legal training are required in the Canadian Cannabis industry for quality control and regulatory compliance.

He is also President and CEO of Growth West Finance Ltd, Kelowna BC., a firm that specialized in financing technology start-ups since 2002. More recently in the last 6 years his company has specialized in consulting to the Canadian Federal Government Cannabis Industry in licensing, regulatory compliance and Business Plans for funding of legal cannabis operations.

His company filed the original dealer’s licence and obtained the “Confirmation of Readiness” for Everest in nine months and is continuing to process to license to grant.

Robert Hatch

B.Sc. (Hons)

Mr. Hatch is a Director and co-founder of Everest. Robert, a resident of Kelowna for the last 13 years, graduated with a BSc. (Hons) Technology (Major) with Marketing (Minor), from the University of Central Lancashire, Preston, UK. His work experience includes military service in the Royal Air Force, Supply Squadron, Logistics, Manual and (early) Computerized stock control systems based in the UK and Germany over 5 years. After that time, he worked as a Senior Inventory Management Specialist for British Aerospace (Now BAE Systems) Trainer to Royal Saudi Air Force personnel, based in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia in all aspects of military supply procedures such as Cargo manifests, Customs, Stock & Batch control, Computer systems.

From 1993 to 1998 he also worked as a Senior Manager and advisor to Guardian Royal Exchange (Now AXA insurance) in the UK and was an Independent Financial advisor in Kuwait. After that time from 1999 to 2001, Rob was the International Sales Manager in developing a global distribution network for new Satellite Communication systems on the manufacturer of Military spec equipment and software, with a high-level security clearance. During this time, he also set up large global distribution channels for reselling the equipment. Later, after acquiring and selling a successful hotel chain in the UK, Rob and his family immigrated to Canada in 2005. Since that time, he has founded and successfully ran several businesses culminating with several condominium rental properties in Big White.

Rob has also been in the legal cannabis business for over 10 years. He acquired his cultivation experience through operation of a ACMPR facility and farming cherries for 5 years. Through this, he has become a subject matter expert in cannabis cultivation and flower quality, and brings a wealth of knowledge of legal cannabis cultivation and processing.
